The main focus of the luminaire test is on safety testing. For this purpose the protective conductor resistance and insulation resistance tests are carried out. If necessary, a high-voltage test can also follow.
Modern LED luminaires, unlike classic luminaires, require more than the typical functional test. In addition to current and power measurement, parameterisation of the ECG may therefore also be necessary.
Since LED lights consist of many individual LEDs, a visual inspection is also necessary. This can be done manually or automatically by camera.
In modern production, the traceability of test results is becoming increasingly important. For this purpose, bar or data matrix codes with various information are read by scanner and reported back to the MES/ERP system. Complex operator guidance, machine data and production data acquisition are more and more state of the art today.
