Description
SCHLEICH test fields are a solid, long-life investment to reduce the operator’s risk. Ergonomics and reliability are of utmost importance. They are used when test objects (DUTs) are bulky and heavy.
Test fields protect against contact with the DUT during the test by means of a grid fence and one or monitored protective doors. Several safety doors are used if the material flow or the accessibility of the test field can be optimized. The safetys door are made of the same grid materials as the fence itself.
All metallic components of the grid fence and the safety gate are electrically connected to each other and grounded over a large area. In the event of a voltage being transmitted to the protective device, the complete grounding of the test field ensures that the voltage is safely discharged to earth, thus protecting the external operator.
Testing is only possible when the safety door is closed. The condition of the safety gates is continuously monitored by a safety PLC with two channels. This corresponds to the specifications and standards of the positive protection against accidental contact.
During a test, warning lights at various points on the grid fence signal the increased danger.
It is not possible to open a safety door during a running test. A guard locking ensures that the safety gates cannot be opened.
In addition, emergency stop buttons are located on the grid fence so that the test sequence can be interrupted in the event of a critical situation.
