Standard

VDE 0750

Medical electrical equipment

EN-classification: EN 60601

In medical practice more and more technical devices and systems are used. Alarm signals are often used to indicate unsatisfactory physiological patient conditions, unsatisfactory functions of electric devices or electric systems or to warn the operator of possible danger for patients or users caused by the medical system or device.  Information signals give information depending from the alarm conditions.
The safety of patients depends from the operator´s capability to clearly distinguish the alarm signals´characteristics. Fitness of use is an important element for the development of alarm signals, which must be easily distinguishable without  unnecessary deflection or disturbance.  The aim of this method is to rationally handle the current situation, to minimize confusion by limiting fast spreading of alarm signals and it´s control conditions and to minimize deflection for other persons.

SCHLEICH supplies testers that are especially designed for this standard. They are very user-friendly, ideal in practice and prepare all necessary documents and certificates after the test.
