Test Method

Short Circuit

In principle the short circuit test is an ohmic resistance measurement. This test is usually performed automatically before an electric functional test in order to find out if there is a short circuit between the conductors. With this it should be avoided that voltage is switched to a test object which already has a major short circuit. Thus a major damage of the test object can be avoided.

This test can be performed at 1- as well as at 3-phase test objects.

Standards commitees

For legal reasons, we can often not make a binding statement about the test conditions. For the application, the currently valid standards for testing your product apply.

Depending on the geographical location of the product, the standards to be applied can vary. For further information, please also refer to the below-mentioned bodies.
