Description

Essential prerequisite for high-precise resistance measurements.

Kelvin clamps are used for perfect contactings in 4-wire technology. To be able to even measure smallest resistances in the uΩ- and mΩ-range, the 4-wire measurement is a mandatory precondition.

The 4-wire measurement offers the benefit, that the measuring lead´s resistance and the clamping point´s contact resistance are eliminated.  To do so, per each clamping point two measuring leads are necessary. As a resistance measurement is performed between two connections (between the clamping points), four measuring leads are needed in total. That is why it is called “4-wire measurement”.

Further details regarding the 4-wire measurement are to be found on our homepage under SchleichPedia.

Our Kelvin clamp´s special design (4-wire clamps) assures a high reliability, solid clamping and little wear even under rough test conditions.
