Partial discharge simulator
Precise inspection of partial discharge measurement systems
The partial discharge simulator is the ideal solution for testing partial discharge measurement systems in combination with surge voltage testing. It deliberately generates partial discharges that must be reliably detected by the measuring device. The discharges occur precisely at the moment the set peak voltage is reached. This ensures precise testing of both the partial discharge detection system and the voltage measurement.
How it works:
The simulator is connected in parallel to the device under test. During the test, it records the peak voltage values. As soon as the limit is reached, the PD simulator generates a broadband pulse that is reliably detected by partial discharge measurement systems with antenna detection . Settings are conveniently configured via the integrated touchscreen.
