Kelvin clamps
High contact reliability and secure clamping
Kelvin clamps are used to ensure optimal contact in four-wire measurement. Four-wire measurement is essential for measuring even the smallest resistances in the microohm and milliohm ranges.
The four-wire measurement method has the advantage of eliminating the resistance of the test leads and the contact resistance at the connection point. This requires two test leads per connection point. Since the resistance measurement is performed between two terminals—that is, between two connection points—a total of four test leads are required. Hence the term “four-wire measurement.”
The special design of our Kelvin clamps (four-wire clamps) ensures reliable contact, a secure grip, and minimal wear in harsh testing environments.
