Perfect and reliable protection against accidental contact

SCHLEICH test enclosures are a rock-solid, long-lasting investment designed to minimize risks to the operator. Ergonomics and reliability are top priorities, thanks to the touch-proof cover over the test objects.

The smooth-operating test hood is made of shatterproof, transparent plastic and covers the test object to allow visual observation or inspection during the test. Tests can only be performed when the test hood is closed, and the closed position of the hood is continuously monitored by a dual-circuit safety limit switch. It complies with legal requirements and is certified for safety.

Closing the test chamber initiates the test procedure. Opening the chamber while the test is in progress causes the tester to immediately terminate the test. The test voltage is turned off in the tester, and the test object is discharged. The discharge process is monitored by the tester.

The test hood remains closed thanks to the optional locking mechanism:

  • until the test object is fully discharged
  • until a mechanical movement or rotation is completed
  • if the test result is negative (failed)

The test hoods can be equipped with customized mechanical mounts for your test objects. These can be easily mounted on the base plate or on interchangeable plates. Inside the hood are connections for the test leads. The connecting leads to the test device are typically attached via secure connectors.

The test chamber is fully insulated, preventing any voltage leakage to the outside. Operating personnel are optimally protected.

To protect sensitive products from electrostatic charging and discharging, test hoods made of ESD materials are available for an additional charge.

Individual test hoods in various sizes and designs

The test hood is prepared for the installation of up to three rectangular industrial connectors. To do this, simply remove the covers on the terminal box inside the test hood and install the industrial connectors. Round high-voltage connectors from SCHLEICH can also be installed.

The base plate of the test hood can be easily removed by loosening a few screws and pulling it forward. There is ample space beneath the base plate to route test leads to it. Your advantage: You can individually and ergonomically position your test specimen holder and test specimen connections on the base plate.

An application with interchangeable base plates is also possible. A flexible plug connection on the back of the base plate allows you to connect directly to the test hood. The base plate is guided laterally to ensure a perfect fit between the connectors of the base plate and the junction box.

The rear panel of the test hood can be opened to install a safety relay or other components. The junction box can be easily removed from the test hood, allowing for convenient wiring and customization to individual requirements.

Single test hood model 10

Table frames with adjustable feet or casters are also available – for maximum ergonomics in your work area.

Test hood with continuous, manually operated roller belt – for comfortable and safe handling of test specimens.

Integrated ball rollers in the work surface – for effortless and precise positioning of test specimen carriers.

Practical solution for the testing area.

Our modular table frame offers integrated pull-out drawers for test adapters and tools, as well as storage boxes for assembly work directly at the test station.

This way you have everything within easy reach, save time and ensure an efficient working environment.

Single test hood model 20

Custom-designed test hood with continuous transfer belt and integrated test setup.

The test hood is designed as a Faraday cage on all sides. This allows for very precise measurements without external influence.
