HandHeld

PE-resistance and insulation resistance tester

The HandHeld is the ideal testing device for use in the workshop and on the go at your customer’s premises. In addition to its compact design, it also has a convincing, competitive price point.

It is commonly used for electrical safety testing in manufacturing plants, but can also be applied, e.g. in servicing of medical equipment or for testing of lightning protection in rotor blades of wind turbines.

Beschreibung

Compact. Ergonomic design.

The HandHeld is used for testing PE/GB-resistance and insulation-resistance. Our compact and reliable tester lets you perform norm-compliant safety tests in the workshop and in in manufaturing as well as in portable application for repairs, assembly, service, etc.

One of the main fields of application is on-site testing at the customer’s facilities. To achieve this, the testing instruments are housed in an exceptionally sturdy extruded aluminium casing. Thanks to the built-in data memory, test results no longer have to be written down by hand. Via PC-interface, all measured values can be transferred, archived and printed-out.

The PE/GB-resistance test is performed with 10 A AC in high precision four-wire sensing, in which the evaluation for resistance or voltage drops can be performed. The evaluation of the insulation resistance test is carried out for resistance or current.

Our HandHeld testers also offer the option of raising test voltages for insulation-resistance testing to a maximum of 2.500 V DC, thus offering an attractive alternative to high-voltage testing with AC. 1.800 V ACeff is the equivalent of approx. 2.500 V DC.

A wide range of accessories, such as transport cases and carrying straps for transferring the device, make it easier for operators to work with the device.

The HandHeld series includes a large number of different types of devices.

Anwendungen

Service. Indoor. Outdoor.

Schleich_EN60204_2

Machinery Directive (EN 60204)

HandHeld used to check an installed system´s compliance with the Machine Directive.

Schleich_Windmill

Inspection of lightning protection on wind turbines

The HandHeld´s ease of use has also proven successful during on-site operations.

The lightning conductor´s reliability is checked from the rotor blade tips to the tower´s bottom.

Schleich_Krankenhaus

Safety inspection for hospitals

Typical application to inspect the PE-conductor and the insulation of medical products after repair or maintenance.

Options.

Schleich_Handheld1

Carrying strap

If requested, a carrying strap may be attached to the HandHeld to allow the operator to hang it around the neck.  Thus he can use both hands to operate the tester. Due to the mirror-inverted configuration of the most important operating buttons on the left and also on the right side, the tester may be easily operated by left- and right-handers.

Transport case

A robust case protects the tester during transport.

Option 1: Tester and assessories are stored in the designated spaces provided inside the transport case.
Option 2: As an alternative, we also deliver transport cases, in which the tester is loosely put inside.
