Update

The end for Windows 7®
Upgrading your tester to Windows 10® is so easy

Now the time has come – since January 14th, 2020, Microsoft has discontinued support for Windows 7® for good. A great, reliable operating system is retiring – and being replaced by an even better one.

What does that mean for you?
Surely you are already using Windows 10® or your IT department has even made it mandatory for the operation of computers in your networks.

But what about your SCHLEICH test devices GLP3, MTC2 and MTC3 running Windows 7®?

The good news:
With a SCHLEICH tester, an upgrade to Windows 10® is easy.

Even upgrades from Windows XP® to Windows 10® are possible – but of course only as long as it is economically feasible! After all, why should you invest time and effort in a tester that performs flawlessly without a network connection and has been written off against tax?

Of course, you could continue to operate your test device with an older version of Windows.
However, if your test device runs in a company network and/or if you are looking for the highest level of security, you should switch to Windows 10®. Otherwise, Windows 7® can quickly become a gateway for unwanted visitors in a company’s network.

We recommend you also regard this important information concerning the end of support for Windows 7® directly from Microsoft®.

What are the advantages of integrating a test device into the company network?

Central data backup: If the local test PC should fail, your test plans and results are stored centrally.
Central test plan management: Thanks to the SQL database, each test device receives the approved test plans from one source.
Central user management: Access rights for all users are managed in one place.
Worldwide access: Central test plan, test result and user management. Not only in the local network, but also globally via the internet.
Automatic security updates: Your system is always up to date*.
(*depending on your IT policies)
Fast remote maintenance: Our service technicians connect directly to your test device following your approval.
