Test Method

Substitute Leakage Current

It is checked if through the insulation the leakage current is below a limit value determined by the standards. The test is performed according to various national and international regulations.

Contrary to the standard leakage current test the substitute-leakage current test is not performed with nominal voltage but with extremly reduced voltage. The current flowing at reduced voltage is grossed up to a current which would e.g. flow at nominal voltage.

Which testers does SCHLEICH supply?
