Test standard
VDE 0701/0702
Testing after repair, modification of electrical devices, recurrent testing of electrical devices
Cross-reference: VDE 0701, VDE 0702
This standard combines the DIN VDE 0701 (VDE 0701) and DIN VDE 0702 (VDE 0702) series of standards into a single document. The new numbering of the standard as DIN VDE 0701-0702 (VDE 0701-0702) is intended to reflect this.
The standard applies to:
– Tests of the electrical safety of electrical devices with rated voltages up to 1,000 V AC/1,500 V DC (after repair, modification, and during recurrent testing)
– The applicable test procedures for proving electrical safety
– Limit values, compliance with which must be verified by the tests
– Electrical devices placed back on the market
– The electrical equipment of devices that are not explicitly designated as electrical devices (for example, gas water heaters).
SCHLEICH supplies specialized test devices designed for this standard.
These are very operator-friendly, ideal for application, and provide all necessary documents and proofs upon completion of the test.
For copyright reasons, detailed information from the standard cannot be provided. The currently valid standard is decisive for its application. This can be acquired, for example, from VDE or Beuth Verlag.
