This standard summarizes the standards DIN VDE 0701 (VDE 0701) and DIN VDE 0702 (VDE 0702) in one document. The new numbering with DIN VDE 0701-0702 (VDE 0701-0702) shall underline this.
The standard applies for:
– Electric safety tests of devices with rated voltages up to AC-voltage 1000 V/ DC-voltage 1500 V (after repairs, modification and repeat test)
– the applicable test methods as proof of electric safety
– limit values, to be verified and proven by tests
– re-activated electric devices
– electrical equipment of devices, not specifically describes as electric deive (for example gas-fired heaters).
