Mechanical Dimensions

Mechanical testing with caliper

During this test, an electronic caliper is used to check whether a dimension to be tested is within the specified tolerance. The test result is then transmitted to the test device, for example at the touch of a button. Various start and transfer variants are available for this purpose.

Depending on the test device, the test task can be displayed in plain text or additionally graphically, for example with an image of the test point.

Optical Displacement Measurement

In optical displacement measurement, the displacement or measurement is recorded contactlessly via an optical measuring system. The determined measurement result is taken directly from the testing device and automatically evaluated.

This measurement method is particularly suitable for applications where mechanical contact is to be avoided or very short measurement times are required. Typically, this measurement is fully automatic. But here, too, the test task can be visualized textually or graphically in order to determine the test sequence unambiguously.

Displacement measurement with linear probe

In the case of displacement measurement with linear probes, the measurement to be tested is recorded via a connected electromechanical probe. The measured values are recorded directly by the test device, without manual intervention.

The measured path is automatically evaluated and compared with the specified limit values or tolerances. Linear probes enable high repeatability and are particularly suitable for series tests and automated test sequences. But here, too, the test task can be visualized textually or graphically in order to determine the test sequence unambiguously.
