SCHLEICH test covers are a rock-solid, long-lasting protective device. Ergonomics, ease of operation, reliability based on very solid industrial quality are the main focus.
The test covers made of shatterproof, transparent plastic cover the test object touch-proof. Tests are only possible with the test cover closed. The condition of the test hood is continuously monitored by a safety approved, safety-compliant, dual-circuit safety limit switch in conjunction with a safety evaluation module. This corresponds to the specifications for mandatory protection against accidental contact.
Closing the test cover starts the test sequence. Opening it while the test is running leads to an immediate abort. The test voltage is safely switched off and the test object is discharged. An optional safety or process interlock can be added to prevent opening during the test. This keeps the test cover closed:
- until the test object is completely discharged
- until the completion of mechanical movement or rotation
- with negative test results (n.o.k.)
A complete insulation of the test chamber prevents the voltage carry-over to the outside. The operating personnel is optimal
protected.
To protect sensitive test objects from electrostatic charging and discharging, we also supply test covers in ESD design.

The test covers can be used with individual mechanical fixtures. The holder can be mounted stationary on the base plate or with an exchangeable adapter. In the test cover there are connections for contacting the test leads.
