Perfect and safe contact protection

SCHLEICH test chambers are a fundamentally solid and durable investment for minimizing operator hazards. Ergonomics and reliability are paramount.

In test chambers, a door protects against contact with the device under test. The smooth-running safety door, made of shatterproof, transparent plastic, covers the device under test and allows for visual inspection during the test. Tests are only possible when the safety door is closed. The status of the safety door is continuously monitored by a two-channel safety limit switch, approved for safety technology and compliant with standards, in conjunction with a safety evaluation module. This adheres to the requirements for mandatory contact protection.

Closing the test chamber starts the test sequence. Opening the test chamber during a running test leads to an immediate cancel. The voltage is disconnected, and the device under test is discharged. Optionally, a safety interlock can be installed to prevent opening during testing.

Complete insulation of the test area prevents voltage carry-over to the outside. This optimally protects operating personnel.

For an additional charge, test chambers made of ESD materials are available to protect sensitive devices under test from electrostatic charging and discharge.
