PortaTest
Fully automatic testing device for insulating and transformer oils
The PortaTest oil tester enables fully automatic determination of the dielectric strength of insulating oils. It can be used both on site and in the laboratory. The wide-opening protective cover the test cup protective cover be conveniently placed on the high-voltage electrodes in the test chamber.
Key facts:
- Puncture resistance test
- Test voltages 60 kV, 80 kV, and 100 kV
- Testing of insulation materials
- Variable TEST VOLTAGE variable test voltage rise
- Integrated test sequences in accordance with national and international standards

PortaTest devices provide operator support. The desired test program can be selected based on the underlying test standard. The test electrode and electrode spacing required for the test standard are then displayed. The setting gauge included with the PortaTest makes it easy to set the electrode spacing. All you have to do now is pour the oil into the test cup, close the test chamber, and start the oil test.
The test sequence fully automatic. The oil testing device contains the corresponding test sequences for all common national and international standards and test specifications. In addition, up to 10 test sequences can be defined by the user and device in device .
The following test runs are available to you
- 13 standard test sequences in accordance with the following test standards:
- IEC 60156
- VDE 0370/96
- BS 5874/80
- UTE C27-221/74
- UNE 21309/89
- NEN 10156
- SEV 3141/69
- CEI 10-1/73
- ASTM D 1816/90
- ASTM D 877/90
- JIS 2101/82
- JIS Si 2101/82
- IS 6855/92
- 10 freely programmable test sequences
- Short test plan for quick condition assessment (test duration: 5 min.)
- Overload test, single punch measurement
- Standing voltage test (1 min. – 24 h) with programmable rise rate
- Level test (1–10 levels)
Oil samples can be labeled by the PortaTest either automatically with a sequential number or by entering a number manually by the operator.
After each test, a detailed test report is printed out using the built-in thermal printer. In addition to the test standard used, the printout contains the date, time, sample number, individual impact values, mean value, and standard deviation.
If required, the test results can test results be transferred from the oil tester to the PC using SCHLEICH PC software PrintCom, saved, and test reports printed out. PrintCom saves the results inEXCEL® format. TheEXCEL® form can be operator configured by operator . This makes it easy to create individual test reports.
Operation is very simple and user-friendly thanks to the clear graphic display. Four function keys below the display are all that is needed for input. They are used to select the test sequence, enter data, configure your own test sequences, and configure the test device in general in the setup. Settings and options such as language, etc. can be selected here.
