Pneumatic clamps

Automatic pneumatic quick clamping systems

Pneumatic cable clamps are used in production to quickly connect free, stripped cable ends. The strand to be connected is terminal into a hole in the terminal that is approximately one centimeter deep. There is a movable valve plate at the bottom of the hole. As soon as this is pressed down slightly by the strand, the integrated valve is triggered and a clamping cylinder in the terminal against the strand. This establishes the contact. There is terminal black push button on the terminal to release the contact.

Any number of clamps can be operated without any problems via a compressed air supply. If the entire compressed air supply is interrupted, all clamps open simultaneously. This is ideal for opening all contact points together quickly after completion of the test.

Key facts:

  • Extensive selection of standard contacts for different cable cross-sections
  • Mechanically robust and durable designs
  • Customized solutions based on our standard solutions

For special applications, several terminals can be embedded in a terminal block. This allows for a close arrangement of the terminals with high insulation. A common valve allows all connections of a group of cable terminals to be released simultaneously by a signal.

Contact is made using two-wire technology. Due to the contact resistance in the terminal , ohmic resistances smaller than 1–10 Ω terminal no longer terminal measurement reliably. For small resistances, Kelvin clamps or Kelvin tongs in four-wire technology must therefore four-wire technology used.

Examples of use
