Partial discharge simulator
Precise testing of partial discharge measurement systems
The partial discharge simulator is the ideal solution for testing partial discharge measurement systems in combination with the surge test. It generates targeted partial discharges that must be measuring device detected by measuring device . The discharges occur at exactly the moment when the set peak voltage is reached. This allows both the partial discharge detection system and the voltage measurement to be tested with precision.
How it works:
The simulator is device under test in parallel to device under test . During the test, it records the peak voltage values. As soon as the limit value is reached, the PD simulator generates a broadband pulse that is reliably detected by partial discharge measurement systems with antenna detection. Settings can be conveniently adjusted via the integrated touch display.
