label printer
Label printing for type plates, device and test stickers, etc.
The label printer automatically creates one or more labels, either before or after the inspection process. This allows inspection processes to be documented efficiently and devices to be labeled correctly immediately.
Common label types
1. Nameplate
A type plate may contain the following elements:
- Company logo and graphic elements
- Structuring lines and grids
- device name
- serial number
- date of production
- Graphic certification marks (e.g., VDE test mark, TÜV test mark)
- Additional freely definable information
2. Error label
An error label documents, for example:
- test step
- test method
- Target and actual values
- tolerance specifications
- Date and operator name
- Further application-specific data
User-friendly label design
The label layout is operator created by operator using a graphical label designer. Areas that are to be dynamically filled by the testing device are simply marked with placeholders.
Before printing, the testing device automatically replaces these placeholders with the corresponding variables – e.g.:
- device name
- serial number
- inspection date
- measurement results
- Variable order data much more
Printing then takes place fully automatically.

Durable labeling in detail.
The testing systems are designed so that a pass or fail label can be printed after the test has been completed. The label layout can be designed operator by operator . Various programs are available on the market for graphic label design, such asCodesoft®orBar-One®, to name just two.
At the end of the test, the tester enters any necessary information such as serial number, date, product name, etc. into the selected label. This data can be freely configured. After a GO(GO) has been completed, the tester receives a label to mark the product as "tested and error-free."
WithWindows® testers, it is also possible to connect multiple label printers for a wide variety of tasks. For example, product labels and cardboard labels with different layouts can be printed. Of course, test reports and reports can also be printed independently of label printing.

barcode

It is often the case that one or more barcodes are scanned before the test begins. The barcodes are used, for example, to automatically select the test plan or to read in the serial number (device number) and other specification. At the end of the test, this data is inserted back into the label by the tester and printed.
