The robust and compact design of the GLP1-g ensures high performance and reliability. In line with the scope of the test device's capabilities, we integrate the technology into a robust industrial housing that was specialized for this device class.
For optimal work, the installation angle can be easily adapted to the individual work situation. Whether sitting or standing, small or large – the viewing height of the display, the operation of the test device and the connection of the test object are thus always optimally adapted to the respective operator.
The integration of up to 9 test methods in a compact device is unique in this class. The GLP1-g offers a clear and concise display of the tests. The intuitive operating concept significantly simplifies daily testing. The clear touch display was perfectly built-in into the front and offers you the functionality you can expect from a modern test device today.
The housing variants are very flexible. The front provides the base with the test socket as well as sockets for test tips and high-voltage test probes.
For integration into automatic test systems or for expansion, additional Connections, such as the 10-pin test plug, can be added to the rear of the device. Through these, universal connection boxes, test covers, or cables for automation can be effortlessly connected.
Depending on the equipment variant, the device dimensions are based on a robust and compact ½ 19″ or 19″ housing.

The test software
With the GLP1-g, you always have all relevant measured values in view. The clear display of the test results enables structured and thus efficient work, and facilitates the subsequent analysis of individual tests.
The display options
Depending on the device variant, there are fundamentally two different display modes during the test:

For test devices with only one test method, the display is provided via a bar chart and numerical indication.

Test devices with a combination of two or more test methods show a test plan displaying the individual test steps as a result.
protective conductor resistance

The test display shows the measured values, the Test current, and the test duration.
insulation resistance

The display is a bar display with additional tolerance spaces and in digits. The insulation resistance, the test voltage, and the test duration are shown.
High Voltage

The display is a bar display with additional tolerance spaces and in digits. The test voltage, the Test current, and the test duration are shown.

Alternatively, the display can be switched to an analog representation. In some applications, this is advantageous due to better readability.
Multifunction device

In a multifunction test device, all test steps are listed sequentially. During the Test, a yellow horizontal bar indicates the active test step. Completed tests are marked either green for GO or red for NOGO. For high voltage tests with a ramp, the ramp profile is also graphically displayed.

Upon completion of the Test, the overall result is displayed on the screen by a green or red field. Additionally, the individual results of the performed test steps are listed.
The Menu – simply intuitive
The various operating settings are simple and clearly structured: You load and edit test plans, adjust test parameters, or change the basic settings of the device. Operation via the touch display is straightforward.
A built-in help function provides a detailed explanation for each test parameter and set point. The automatic plausibility check at the end of an entry ensures that every entered test parameter or set point is within the technical limits of the device. This guarantees an error-free and reliable test sequence.

The menu selection is accessed via the 'Menu' button.

In the main menu, the desired activity is selected. Test plans can be loaded and edited, test parameters can be set, basic settings can be configured, or statistics can be retrieved.

Here, test plans can be named, saved, loaded, or deleted. The 'Parameters' button leads to the parameter selection.

The parameter to be edited/changed is selected using the red frame. To edit the parameter, the 'Edit' button must then be pressed.
The automatic test method switch-over and Mechatronics
SCHLEICH test technology has proven itself tens of thousands of times in daily use. It is among the most reliable products on the market, offering outstanding performance and accuracy. The goal must be to perform a Test quickly and efficiently. Only this creates high practical value.
To save time, all Connections of the device under test are connected via the test socket or corresponding measurement leads. The test device then performs the Tests fully automatically between all Connections, without the need for complex re-clamping of leads. The typical device under test for the GLP1-g has a mains Connection with L, N, and PE.
Through the automatic test method switch-over, the different test methods are automatically switched to the Connections and the test tip. The appropriate switch-over is built-in, matching the type and scope of the test device. This ensures fast and automatic switching between the different test methods.
Because the voltage differences between the test methods can be very high, the safety in the first place. A protective earth resistance test with 12 V must be just as reliable as a high voltage test with 6000 V on the device under test – to protect your test object and, of course, to protect the operator. There are no compromises here! That's why we only use proven, high-quality components from our own production and from well-known German manufacturers for switching and dies.

The Test Methods

protective earth resistance test
The Test of the protective earth conductor is performed with an electronically controlled, constant Test current. From the voltage drop across the protective earth conductor and the flowing current, the test device calculates the protective conductor resistance. This must not exceed the maximum resistance specified in the standards. Using a test tip (to be ordered separately), the operator successively probes the protective earth Connections to be tested on the device under test. The Test is performed between the PE contact in the test socket and the test tip.

Insulation Resistance Test
The insulation test is performed with an electronically controlled, constant TEST VOLTAGE. From the voltage drop across the insulation and the flowing current, the test device calculates the insulation resistance. This must not fall below the minimum resistance specified in the standards. The insulation resistance can be measured both between all electrical conductors (Class I devices) and between the electrical conductors and insulated housing parts (Class II devices). The operator successively probes the housing parts to be tested with the test tip. At the end of the Test, a discharge of the device under test always occurs.

DC High Voltage Test
The high voltage test is performed with an electronically controlled, constant high voltage. During the Test, the Test current must not exceed a specified maximum value. If the current rises above the maximum value, the Test is automatically Cancelled. At the end of the Test, a discharge of the device under test always occurs.

AC High Voltage Test
The insulation test is performed with an electronically controlled, constant high voltage. During the Test, the Test current must not exceed a specified maximum value. If the current exceeds the maximum value, the Test is automatically Cancelled. At the end of the Test, a discharge of the device under test always occurs.

function test
The function test of your device under test is performed under operating voltage based on the current consumption, cos φ, and/or power consumption of the device under test. Set values and ± tolerances can be specified for each measurement variable. If the electrical measurement value is within tolerance, the test result is GO. The TEST VOLTAGE for the function test is electronically generated in the test device.
