SCHLEICH test covers are a robust, durable investment for reducing operator hazards. Ergonomics and reliability are prioritized, thanks to the contact-safe covering of the devices under test.
The smooth-running test cover is made of shatterproof, transparent plastic and covers the device under test to allow visual observation or inspection during testing. Tests are only possible when the test cover is closed, and the closed state of the cover is continuously monitored by a dual-circuit safety limit switch. It complies with legal requirements and is safety-approved.
Closing the test cover starts the test sequence. Opening it during an ongoing test leads to an immediate cancel by the test device. The TEST VOLTAGE is switched off in the test device, and the device under test is discharged. The discharge process is monitored by the test device.
Via the optional interlock, the test cover remains locked:
- until the complete discharge of the device under test
- until the completion of a mechanical movement or rotation
- in case of a negative test result (NOGO)
The test covers can be equipped with custom mechanical fixtures for your devices under test. These can be easily mounted on the base plate or on interchangeable plates. Inside the cover, there are Connections for contacting the test leads. The connecting cables to the test device are typically connected via secure connectors on the test device.
The complete insulation of the test space prevents voltage propagation to the outside. Operating personnel are optimally protected.
To protect sensitive products from electrostatic charge and discharge, test covers made of ESD materials are available at an additional cost.
Individual test covers in various sizes and designs

Individual test cover Model 0

Individual test cover Model 1

A table frame is optionally available with leveling feet or castors.

Test cover built-in to a rolling table.

Test cover mounted on a test device in a rolling cabinet.

Individual test cover Model 13

The test cover is prepared for the installation of up to three rectangular industrial connectors. To do this, simply remove the covers on the connection box in the test cover and install the industrial connectors. Round high-voltage connectors from SCHLEICH can also be installed.

The base plate of the test cover can be loosened with a few screws and easily pulled out to the front. Below the base plate, there is sufficient installation space to route test leads up to the base plate. Your advantage: Custom place your device under test fixture and device under test connections ergonomically optimally on the base plate.
An application with exchangeable base plates is also feasible. Via a flexible plug connection on the rear side of the base plate, you can directly establish the connection to the test cover. To ensure that the connectors of the base plate and the connection box fit perfectly into each other, the base plate is laterally guided.

The rear panel of the test cover can be opened for the installation of a safety relay or other components. The connection box can be easily removed from the test cover, allowing for convenient wiring and adaptation to custom requirements.

Individual test cover Model 10

Additionally, table frames with leveling feet or castors are available – for maximum ergonomics in your work space.

Test cover with a continuous, manually operated roller conveyor – for comfortable and safe handling of devices under test.

Ball transfer units built-in to the work surface – for effortless and precise positioning of device under test carriers.

Practical solution for the test space.

Our modular table frame offers built-in pull-out drawers for test adapters and tools, as well as storage boxes for assembly tasks directly at the test station.

This way, you have everything within reach, save time, and ensure an efficient work environment.

Individual test cover Model 20

Custom test cover with a continuous transfer belt and built-in test setup.

The test cover is constructed on all sides as a Faraday cage. This allows very precise measurements to be run without external interference.
