SCHLEICH testing systems for intermediate and final inspection of all types of luminaires throughout the entire luminaire production process. From testing complete luminaires to individual LED modules, you receive all safety and quality testing methods from a single source.
From compact safety testing devices to complex test benches with cameras for LED inspection or robots, SCHLEICH is SCHLEICH expert partner. Many lighting manufacturers worldwide rely on our testing technology.
The comBOX contains both the typical connection to the luminaire (mains and dimming connection) and a variety of market-standard interfaces for communication with the ECG in the luminaire.

Testing devices of the GLP2-BASIC GLP2-MODULAR classes are generally GLP2-MODULAR to test luminaires. These testing devices have a test connection socket on the rear. The intelligent comBOX is connected to this. It connects automatically via plug & play to communicate with the test device. No additional configuration work is necessary on the part of the user. This also makes it very easy to retrofit a comBOX at a later date.
Depending on the test task, there are 6 comBOX models with different capacities are available.
First, a light fixture must be voltage with voltage . This can be single-phase, two-phase, or even three-phase. For this purpose, all comBOXes provide 5 mains connections. The single-phase TEST VOLTAGE supplied by the test device TEST VOLTAGE internally in the comBOX.
Modern luminaires are usually equipped with dimmable ECGs. Two dimming connections on the ECG are typically used to set the dimming level. Communication via various bus protocols takes place via these connections (DA1 and DA2). The bus protocol can be selected directly in the test plan.
In addition to dimming, data exchange with the ECG is also possible. The test device can be used to store the luminaire's setting parameters in the ECG and to read out all information stored in the ECG. The freely programmable interface protocol is very flexible and leaves nothing to be desired. The test device software allows all available DALI commands to be used and combined in any way.
In addition to communicating with the ballast via the various interfaces, the BOXBOX also offers the option of checking any through-wiring in the luminaire. This can have a maximum of 7 wires. The through-wiring is checked for interruptions and reverse polarity.
If a high voltage test run also run high voltage test the luminaire, the comBOX can be equipped to withstand high voltages.
The comBOXes can be supplemented with LEDs and control buttons. The LEDs indicate the status of communication with the ECG. The control buttons can be test sequence for control/acknowledgment in test sequence .

The schematic diagram shows a comGLP2-MODULAR.
The BOXBOX provides up to 7 connections for the luminaire. These are used to supply mains voltage and communicate with the ECG. In addition, 7 further connections are available as an option if a continuity test run continuity test the through-wiring in the luminaire.
During the manufacture of EVG/ECG, it may also be necessary to flash the integrated microcontroller with firmware. This function can also be performed entirely by the test device.
