Inspecting electric machines
Electric shock, fire risk in case of component failure and grid overload may cause injuries and health damages. Electric installations have to assure a safe operation. To do so, the respective safety standards, regulations and requirements are to be observed.
Safe products habe to be winded, designed and manufactured in the corresponding way. National and international institutions define guidelines and rules for the safety requirements.
Among others, the following directives apply in the European Community:
- Low-voltage directive 73/23/EWG
- Machine directive 98/37/EG
