Know How

Blackbox

For the daily and regular tester inspection a blackbox (test dummy) is connected to the tester. It is measured, if the measured values correspond to the ones from the blackbox. If it´s not the case, the tester locks itself. Only after removing the fault reason and another correct black box test it is unlocked again. As we only deliver testers with digital evaluation, this test is normally not done with a “good-bad”-blackbox, but with a single blackbox. The measured results are evaluated within close tolerance limits.

It is possible to configure when the blackbox test is to be performed. This can be time- or quantity dependent. Normally the blackbox test is performed after the tester has been switched on.

Each blackbox has a connection possibility to the tester and one or more precision resistances and /or inductances. It may be intended for one test method or for a combination of test methods.

Each blackbox is delivered with information about the resistance values and a calibration report, to allow you to enter the correct test sequences in the tester.
