Today, almost all luminaires are equipped with LEDs. In most cases, no sockets are used for the LEDs; instead, the LED units are connected directly to the output terminals of the electronic ballast (EVG/ECG) via wiring.
In addition, the ECGs/ECGs are galvanically isolated between the input-side mains supply and the output-side LED control. As a result, the wiring behind the ECGs/ECGs is virtually inaccessible for insulation testing.
However, the wiring must be checked depending on the height of the LED power supply.
These tests can be run in the form of visual inspections.

A modern intelligent electronic control gear (ECG) is required to control the LED module.
ECGs are used for dimming, correctly regulating the LED current, optimizing the brightness characteristic during dimming, and color control (RGB).
To minimize costs, lighting manufacturers often use only a few ECG models. However, there is a wide variety of LED modules available, and their technical characteristics vary greatly.
The same ECG can therefore be adapted to a wide range of LED modules. To do this, various settings are transferred to the ECG via an interface. This process is called parameterization.
The parameters are often transferred via the DALI interface.
Luminaires without a hardware interface can be parameterized via the power supply network, via an additional parameterization connection, or wirelessly via NFC (Near Field Communication).

The majority of all lights today are equipped with LEDs.
In order to achieve a light surface that appears as uniform as possible to the viewer, many LEDs are connected together on a circuit board to form LED clusters. To do this, the brightness of the individual LEDs must be within a narrow tolerance.
This applies both when fully modulated and when dimmed.
These tests can be run in the form of visual inspections.
Here we distinguish between two variants:
Manual visual test performed by the operator
Fully automatic visual test performed by cameras
However, manual visual test the operator is only applicable in simple test positions, as the light intensity of the LEDs can be very high. Furthermore, the number of individual LEDs to be tested can also be very high. As a result, testing by the operator often cannot meet the requirements of demanding test scenarios.
Brightness can be determined much more reliably using cameras equipped with special lenses and apertures.
The color of light is often determined in parallel with the brightness measurement.

Continuous-row lighting fixtures can usually be connected in series. This requires through-wiring through the fixture.
The through-wiring must not contain any wiring errors between the input and output connectors. Interruptions and reverse polarity are not permitted.
The tap from the through-wiring via the phase selection to the luminaire must also be uninterrupted and without reverse polarity.
The continuity test also be used to test switches and/or sockets integrated into the luminaire.

The majority of all lights today are equipped with LEDs.
In order to achieve a light surface that appears as uniform as possible to the viewer, many LEDs are connected together on a circuit board to form LED clusters. To achieve this, the color temperatures of the individual LEDs must be within a narrow tolerance range.
The LEDs on an LED module are often additionally assembled according to a specified arrangement. This must also be reliably checked.
These tests can be run in the form of visual inspections.
Here we distinguish between two variants:
Manual visual test performed by the operator
Fully automatic visual test performed by cameras
Due to the often high light intensity of LEDs, manual visual test is visual test not an option. The number of LEDs to be tested can also be very high. Automatic testing methods are therefore usually the method of choice.
When cameras are equipped with special lenses and apertures, they can also determine the color of light much more reliably.

A modern intelligent electronic control gear (ECG) is required to control the LED module.
ECGs are used for dimming, correctly regulating the LED current, optimizing the brightness characteristic during dimming, and color control (RGB).
To minimize costs, lighting manufacturers often use only a few ECG models. However, there is a wide variety of LED modules available, and their technical characteristics vary greatly.
The same ECG can therefore be adapted to a wide variety of LED modules. To do this, various settings are transferred to the ECG via an interface. This process is called parameterization.
The parameters are often transferred wirelessly via the NFC (Near Field Communication) interface.

Today, almost all luminaires are equipped with LEDs. In most cases, no sockets are used for the LEDs; instead, the LED units are connected directly to the output terminals of the electronic ballast (EVG/ECG) via wiring.
In addition, the ECGs/ECGs are galvanically isolated between the input-side mains supply and the output-side LED control. This means that the wiring behind the ECGs/ECGs is practically inaccessible for insulation tests.
However, the wiring must be checked depending on the height of the LED power supply.
If the wiring is electrically accessible, an insulation test is insulation test for this purpose.
