Founded in 1952 as repair service for electric machines we have developed to an internationally well-known manufacturer of coil winding machines for the electrical engineering and for the electric-motor industry within the following decades.

In 1987 we supplied the first PC-controlled surge testers for testing coils. This was a milestone within the companys history and the basis for the decision to specialize in developing testers.

Owing to consequent service and continuous further development we are one of the internationally leading manufactuers of electronic testers for the safety and functional test technoloqy today.

Our high-specialized team continuously developes our product range of Schleich testers further and daily proves our innovation ability which characterizes us since our foundation, at our site in Hemer.

But besides innovation Schleich GmbH also stands for reliability. High quality requirements which are individually defined for each company sector, guarantee that you can rely on our products at any time. In addition we are certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 for many years.

We manufacture "Made in Germany" and are very proud of this.

History

• The company was founded 50 years ago as a factory for electrical engineering.
• Since the middle of the sixties, we have been designing, manufacturing and selling worldwide: coil-winding machines for electrical engineering and for the electric-motor industry.
• In 1982, SCHLEICH was transformed into a private limited company (Schleich GmbH). Since that time, Mr. Schleich and Mr. Lahrmann both hold 50% of the capital of the company as managing partners.
• In 1987, we developed the first surge tester for testing coils. Typical for SCHLEICH’s innovative power, even this first model was already PC-based.
• In 1988, the winding machines were also changed to a PC-based control. Up-to-date electronics and IT have always been of great importance for our company.
• In 1989, due to the enormous success of the first testers, we decided to intensify our activities in the area of electrical safety testing and functional testing – with the aim to produce all components of the testers in our own factory. The result speaks for itself. Our product lines for the complete safety-testing range and functional-testing range are "Made in Germany".
• Since 1995, the production of testers and automatic testing machines of all kinds has been our main field of activity.
• Year after year, after the first PC-controlled GLP3 testers were introduced, new tester families have been developed and successfully launched onto the market.
• Today, our product range, therefore, offers solutions for almost every task and every budget.
• Products made by SCHLEICH are continuously updated, redesigned and adapted to the newest technical developments. In addition, new product lines are added in regular intervals.
