Product Description

For the winding testers, Schleich, as one of the first manufacturers of testing devices, concentrated, like at the GLP3-2000, consistently, successfully and reliably on the integration of PCs into testers. With more than 20 years of experience, our engineers and technicians offer you a perfect test system with extensive software. Both, hardware and software are designed and produced by SCHLEICH. In order to be leading in the field of measuring technique, SCHLEICH is continuously innovating its products. This great number of innovations is setting a high standard for the technology of modern winding testers with Windows® control.

The system offers: a clear indication of the test process for the operator - extensive input and configuration features for the person that does the set-up. Quality assurance is of great importance, also. For this purpose, an extensive, excellent statistical analysis is integrated into the tester. And, most important, you are able to document the tested quality of your products with a great variety of protocol print-outs. Regarding the generation of networks with testers of the MTC family, the same features as for the GLP3-2000 apply.

The individual test methods necessary for the stator test can be selected from a great variety of test methods. Manual or automatic station / single or double test station – with or without test cover or test table – we have the perfect solution.

Two or four winding connections (at devices up to 15KV) and one frame connection serve for contacting the stators or the coil(s). Between the connection leads, the test is performed manually, semi-automatically or fully-automatically. An internal matrix automatically switches over between the connection leads.

2 connection leads for testing a coil

3 connection leads if motor is in triangle or star (U, V, W)
3 connection leads if the motor is a single-phase motor
4 connection leads if the motor is with outward-leading star point (U, V, W + star point)
4 connection leads if the motor is a single-phase motor

The MTC2 is controlled by the integrated PC. This device is a very flexible solution for maintenance and service within your company. The control software is the software of our MTC3 testers with all features of a high-end tester. The software enables you to perform fully-automatic tests, semi-automatic tests and manual tests. Especially within the area of service and maintenance, a great number of tests are performed as single tests. Test objects are examined in order to find possible faults. For this purpose, the tester offers optimum operating features.

1. Fully-Automatic Test

The test program consists of a sequence of individual test steps and every test step consists of a test method (e.g. surge test), set values and tolerances. After starting the tester, the individual test steps are performed fully-automatically one after the other and without interruption. Every test step is evaluated automatically. At the end of the test, you receive a total result.

Testers with 4 connections allow to switch over between the connections. This is a pre-condition for the automatic test process.

2. Semi-Automatic Test

The test program consists of a sequence of individual test steps and every test step consists of a test method (e.g. surge test), set values and tolerances. After starting the tester, the operator can select the test step that he wants to test. Then, for example, he contacts the lamellas of an armature with the test probes and starts the test. The tester shows the measured value in the bottom half of the screen in large characters. As soon as the operator activates a button, the measured values are automatically compared to the set values of the test step and then evaluated. Now, the operator can select another test step, etc. This can be repeated until you have results from all test steps. It is possible to test individual test steps several times. The complete test process can be cancelled and continued later. The semi-automatic test is based on a test program with a fixed test step sequence with set values and tolerances. However, this test step sequence can be performed by the operator in the desired order.

3. Manual Test

There is no test program as a reference. The operator can perform individual test methods (e.g. surge test or resistance test, etc.) and connect the test methods to any desired connection clamp of the test object. During the test, the measured values are displayed in well-readable digits. After the test has been completed, the measured value is transferred to a summary of all measured values. Thus the operator can perform individual tests the same way as if he had individual testing devices. The results are accumulated in a summary and can be stored or printed.

Storage

For storing it is also possible to enter the data of the type label.

With the data of the type label it is possible to search for the results in the database and, for example, load them for printing. This gives you a perfect documentation system for your motors, armatures, etc. For the completion of your documentation, you can also enter and store comments and notes.

The software offers ideal solutions for a better comparison of existing and new test results of the same test object. This will help you to estimate the lifetime of the motor.

The software was optimized for mechanical engineering and the maintenance of equipment. With the three individual operating modes, the tester can be operated optimally and in accordance with practical needs. Although the tester has an integrated PC, the operation does not necessarily require a keyboard or a mouse. Everything can easily be operated by hand.

The operation of the tester is supported by the touch panel. The mouse can be controlled by touching the screen with the finger. This way, you can easily activate tests, reconnect clamps, etc.

Keyboard and mouse are only necessary if you you wish, for example, to store test results under a certain name - i.e. if you need to enter a text. The delivery extent comprises a keyboard and an optical mouse with radio connection and USB stick. Alternatively, it is, of course, also possible to enter the data without the keyboard via the touch panel.

We offer extensive extensions like test leads, armature adapters, lamella test probes, Kelvin clamps, test adapters, transport cases and equipment wagons.

Featureportable and lightest device on the market

With its light weight, the tester is ideally suited for mobile applications.

    Feature

automatic storage of the setting values in the tester

In order to facilitate the operation, the device always boots with the paramters of the preceding test.

    Feature

adjustment of all parameters via comfortable menu navigation

The comfortable adjustment makes sure that the operator can adjust all test parameters correctly and is able to operate the tester with optimum safety.

    Feature

    access-safe control

The tester is secured with a key switch, which serves to activate the mains.

    Featurepre-programmed operation

In the tester it is possible to pre-program many hundreds of thousands of test programs. Thus, also untrained operators are able to test motors. You just need to load the respective test program (motor type) out of the database, connect the test leads - and the test and the evaluation are automatically performed by the tester.

    Featureintegrated PC

With the integrated PC, the MTC2 tester offers the same features as our MTC3 testers, which are successful throughout the world. In addition, the manual handling of the MTC2 is well suited for applications on the shop floor. In the "manual mode", the digital MTC2 offers the typical features of an analog device.

    Feature

detachable test leads at 3KV and 6KV testers

The test leads at the tester can be removed. The advantage is that you can connect the optimum test lead with the optimum test probe for any desired task (e.g. the armature test). For mobile applications, the detachable test leads can easily be taken along in the transport bag.

    Feature

transport bag for test leads, keyboard and mouse

For mobile applications, the transport bag is the ideal solution for the transportation of the test leads, the keyboard and the mouse. Via clips, the transport bag is attached to the top of the MTC2 and can be detached, if necessary. The bag also offers enough room for the portable printer.

    Feature

test probes and software for the armature test

The standard tester is equipped with a software for testing armatures, which allows comfortable and fast testing of armatures, lamella by lamella. The results are stored and are available for documentation at a later time. Optionally, armature test probes and commutator contactings for various tasks are available.

    Feature

    4-wire kelvin clamps (kelvin measurement)

For resistances below 1Ohm it is necessary to use 4-wire clamps in order to obtain optimum test results for the optional resistance test. For this purpose, the tester is equipped with the necessary contacting with 2 sockets per winding connection at the front panel.

    FeatureUSB connection

For storing the test programs and the test results, the MTC2 is equipped with an internal hard disk. The USB stick can be used if the test results are to be transmitted to another PC. It is, of course, also possible to connect a printer directly to the USB connection.

    Feature

80Gbyte actual-value storage for the results in the tester

All test results and test programs are stored in the tester on a hard disk min. 80GByte.

    FeatureEthernet connection

If required, the tester can easily be integrated into a PC network (LAN), i.e. all data can be stored directly in the network on a server.

    FeatureVGA connector for external monitor

Parallel to the well-readable LCD monitor, it is possible to connect an external monitor to the MTC2.

    Featureserial RS232 interface

In order to obtain a complete documentation, it is, via this interface, possible to read in the test results of the high-voltage tests of a GLP1 or GLP2 high-voltage tester into the protocol of the MTC2.

    Feature

    wide-voltage range from 100V...240V

This allows to operate the MTC2 allover the world in every network without adaptations. You only need the correct plug for the respective socket.
