GLP2-e/i - HIPOT TESTER

This high-voltage tester is based on our well known model GLP2-e/i. Test voltages up to 100KV in AC or DC are possible. Optionally, the AC test can be supplied with an extremely sensitive ARC detection.
 


Based on its modular concept, this tester can be configured for a great variety of voltage levels and voltage types. The voltage necessary for your testing task is selected from a large pool of HV test methods. Whether only one AC test method or a combination of AC and DC - the configuration of the tester is defined by you! Depending on the testing task the GLP2-e/i can, for example, also be equipped with a matrix (switching unit). With the flexible concept of the GLP2-i, it is possible to compose a tester that meets your requirements ideally. It is not necessary to install individual testing devices for every required test method into a large service cabinet. All test methods can be integrated into an extremely compact testing device with a height of 4, 6 or 9HE (height modules). This flexibility is your price benefit. This is what we call "customer-based technology".

The testers can also be delivered with test covers.

Product Description

The new generation of the GLP2 comes with an optimized technology and an attractive appearance. A special highlight is the innovative operation via touch screen in combination with a large graphics display. The tester is operated only by touching the symbols on the graphics display. Numbers and letters can be entered, too. In addition, it is, of course, also possible to connect a standard PC-keyboard and/or a barcode scanner.

The GLP2-e | GLP2-i has a test program database for more than 200 test programs and a result database. The results can be stored, transmitted to a PC or printed out. Directly after testing, you can print labels on a thermal transfer printer and attach them to your products. This way you can be sure that the products you bring into the market are tested and safe.

Depending on the configuration and the composition, the type of the tester will be either the extremely compact GLP2-e or, alternatively, the larger GLP2-i. As for the operating features of the tester and the performance of software and interfaces, both types are completely identical.

High-voltage testers with an automatic high-voltage adjustment can also perform freely programmable voltage profiles.

Type A

In order to have the necessary distance to the ground, this vertical tube is used for high voltages.

The diagonal tube type can be used for all voltages.

This type has the optimum distance to the ground and normally offers an optimum connection of the high voltage.

Type C

The horizontal tube type is used for low voltages, because otherwise the distance to the ground could not be kept. Unless the transformer would be installed on a base, etc.

  • For communicating with the electronic environment, the tester is equipped with two serial interfaces. It is possible to print or, alternatively, remote-control the tester via a PC with our software NetComXi or PrintCom. A test step generated in NetCom is transmitted to the tester, where it is performed and the result is returned to the PC. NetCom stores the result on the PC. This is the ultimate solution, because you have a test system, which documents and logs all test steps.

    In addition, it is possible to operate several testers in one network with a central PC. Test programs can be transmitted to the testers and the test results can be returned to the PC, where they are stored. The complete data exchange is controlled via our PC software NetComXi. For details, please refer to "NetComXi" or "PrintCom". Of course, you can also use your own software to remote-control the tester.

    The tester can be remote-controlled with Agilent VEE® or LabVIEW®. For LabVIEW®, a high-performance driver is available.

    In order to make sure that the test results are constant and correspond to the safety requirements, the tester keeps the output voltage constant from no-load to full load and over the mains voltage range within the setting limits.

    For many years now, our compact testers have been equipped with an automatic switch-over between the test methods, if desired. This way, the operator needs to connect the test object only once and all tests can be performed one after the other without having to reconnect the test object. This is quickest and most reliable solution.

    The complete calibration is performed via the software. It is not necessary to open the device. Thus, there is no danger that the technician touches the high voltage.

    The connection of safety contacts and an Emergency Stop allow to connect a safety device for the high-voltage protection of the operator.

    This software allows easy reading in of test results, storage in an EXCEL® file and comfortable printing of self-generated test programs.

    With this software the tester can be remote-controlled completely. All test programs and test results are stored in a central ACCESS® database. Test programs can be transmitted to the tester. The test results can be printed and statistically evaluated in many different ways.

    FeaturePC software: NetCom network

    This software allows the complete remote control of up to 32 testers in a network. The network can be generated via RS485 connections. As an alternative, it is possible to operate up to 32 testers in an Ethernet computer network. This way, you can use your standard PC network without extra cabling.
